Happy Fools Day from one of the biggest fools on the net ūüôā¬† I found a couple of items for you¬†to peruse while you take a break from terrorizing all your co-workers with April Fools Pranks ūüôā

Here is a video titled 3 Reasons Public Sector Employees are Killing the Economy.

I work for the government full-time.¬† I work in Science and Engineering.¬† The higher pay scales in government were intended for higher skills¬†such as the people I work with.¬† Over the years I have seen the government hire over 100k attorneys that they do not need.¬†¬†Starting pay for an inexperienced government attorney is¬†100k, or more.¬† Another reason we should ‘not’ vote attorneys into public office.¬† Like rabbits, they multiply.

The other issue I have with government hiring is that they have taken simple jobs and given them ‘titles’ in order to increase¬†pay levels.¬† A simple budget person becomes a program manager.¬† A person who contracts goods and services becomes a project manager.¬† An accountant becomes an economist and makes as much as an attorney.¬†¬† These were all mid grade jobs less than 10 years ago.¬† Now they all pay 6 figures and many of the jobs do not even require a college degree.¬†

Doug Ross has a great post where Mark Levin goes off on President Obama.¬† This is the post I was writing in my spare time, but dang it, Mark Levin not only beat me to it, he did a much better job ūüôā

Mark Levin: Your Health Care Bill Is A Fraud Mr. President And You Lied

I guess the City of New York can longer afford to pay its’ citizens for ‘good behavior’.¬†¬† Gee $100.00 for going to the dentist, $600.00 for passing an exam.¬† Where the heck were these people when I was going to school.¬† I didn’t even have dental until I joined the service.¬† I had to depend on The Lion’s Club for my annual checkups to the age of 14.¬† That is the big loss with government programs.¬† Community¬†involvement goes out the window.

Rep Charlie Rangel (D-Singsing) may have a real Republican challenger.  The Reverend Michel Faulkner, a former New York Jet, is said to be a champion of the poor.  Rev Faulkner preaches GOP values of reduced government, lower taxes, and entrepreneurship.

Well, that is all I have time for now friends and neighbors.¬† I will end this with 160 of the greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes.¬† It is kind of like humor ūüôā¬† Have a great day all ūüôā

What A Difference A President Makes

March 31, 2010

Two different Presidents.   Two different styles.  You be the judge.  I know who I would rather work for.

Democrat president Barack Obama shakes hands with US troops in Afghanistan 3-18-10

Republican president George W Bush visits U S Troops in South Korea

The striking difference is people are actually trying to get to President Bush.

I can say for certain the service members at the Obama event were warned not to make any moves towards the President.  Democrats have always had different rules when it comes to military.

Socialist Howard Dean Admits ObamaCare Is Wealth Redistribution

March 31, 2010

To his credit, Mr. Dean, does mention his concern for the declining manufacturing industry.  What he fails to realize is the decline is the fault of his party.

Socialist Democrat policies and out of control environmentalism have sent millions of jobs overseas where the labor is cheaper and there are no environmental controls.

Environut are destroying the world they are attempting to save by forcing manufacturers out of business.  They send the jobs overseas where there are no environmental controls.  Environuts in the US are directly responsible for polluting the World.

Manufacturing it the US is the cleanest in the World.   Responsible regulations will keep it that way.  Over the top regulations designed to force an end to manufacturing in the US do not solve the problem.  They magnify it ten fold.

I find it amazing that our water is getting cleaner.¬† Our air is getting cleaner.¬† Yet our out of control EPA is going to force even higher restrictions, when what they have is working.¬† Why double down on success when it will kill jobs and our children’s future?

Georgia Rep Hank Johnson Believes Guam Will Capsize With 8000 Additional Marines

March 31, 2010

Rep Hank Johnson (D-GA), during a House Armed Services Committee Hearing, asked Admiral Robert Willard USN (Commander Pacific Fleet), if the addition of 8000 US Marines would cause the Island of Guam to capsize.

Johnson (D-clueless) said “My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize.

Believe it, or not, somebody actually voted this guy into office.

Islands are attached to the sea floor, they do not roll over and capsize (pending some type of volcanic eruption, or earthquake) due the additional weight of people.

Of course Johnson’s aides later attempted to play this down.¬†

With brainiacs like Mr. Johnson representing the people in the House, is it any wonder that people believe their representatives have lost touch with reality.  Apparently,  some of them never were in touch.

I have a feeling I will be using this video a lot in the coming months ūüôā

EPA & DOE Pawned By GAO Investigators

March 30, 2010

Ever wonder exactly what that ‘Energy Star Compliant’ rating sticker on your new appliance indicates.¬†¬† Apparently not much.

The Energy Star program is run by the Energy Department and the Environmental Protection Agency.   The purpose of the program is to identify and rate energy-efficient products.  The Energy Star Compliant label aides consumers  in their search for energy-efficient products.   Consumers are offered  incentives, such as federal tax credits and rebates, for purchasing and installing Energy Star Compliant products.

A report released Friday said government investigators tried to pass off 20 fake products, including a gas-powered alarm clock,¬†as energy-efficient, and only two were rejected. Three others didn’t get a response.

According to writer Fredric Frommer (AP) fifteen phony products, that were introduced by the Government Accountability Office, won certifications as energy-efficient.

Gee, I wonder what the ‘tax write off’ is on¬†the ‘Energy Star¬†Compliant’, 1 and 1/2 foot¬†high by 15 inches wide,¬†¬†gasoline powered alarm clock that they approved?¬† I imagine it would be somewhat less than an Energy Star Compliant coal-fired water heater and possibly a little more than an Energy Star Compliant diesel fuel injected coffee pot.

GAO stated that Energy Star does not verify claims made by manufacturers.  That would possibly explain their certification of an air room cleaner that was actually a space heater with a feather duster and fly strips attached to a computer monitor that won approval within 30 minutes of submission.

While GAO investigators have said the program is subject to fraud and abuse, agencies have said that consumers can have confidence in the Energy Star label.¬† “In fact, a review last year found that 98 percent of the products tested met or exceeded the Energy Star requirements and¬†saved Americans $17 billion on their energy bills.”

Hmm, $17 billion, maybe its time I perfected that jet fuel powered, solar battery, wind activated, degenerative braking, electric weed whacker?  I wonder what the tax write off would be on that totally inefficient machine.

Speaking of inefficient, who are those marvelous engineers at Energy Star?¬† Maybe these cat yodeling guys¬†can help out.¬† They seem to have way too much time on their hands ūüôā

Chicago Pay To Play Politics Take Over Albany

March 30, 2010

New York State Democrats are taking a line from Chicago politicians.

Democrats¬†recently announced¬† their intent for a 180 million dollar budget cut¬†that would focus on the¬†state worker’s¬†unions.¬†¬†The Chairman of¬†the New York¬†Democrat¬†Senate Campaign Committee¬†later told union leaders that they could secure, in other words buy, a seat¬†on a soon to be created labor advisory council for a donation of $50,000.¬†

The soon to be created advisory council will attend exclusive meetings with Senate Democrats and participate in the 2010 campaign strategy.

Republicans charge that Democrats have advised the unions that their funding will be restored once the donations begin flowing into the campaign.  Basically, if the unions play ball, and fill the Democrat coffers with donations, the budget cuts will go away.

Associations are being made to the close relationship that President Obama shares with the SEIU.  The SEIU pumped over 28 million dollars into the Obama campaign and several SEIU members have been rewarded with high level government positions.

Most recently the President made a ‘recess’ appointment and named SEIU¬†labor lawyer Craig Becker to the National Labor Relations Board.¬† This appears to be¬†a conflict of interest, as Mr. Becker, who worked on the Obama transition team while¬†in the employ of the SEIU¬†and has¬†written several SEIU favorable executive orders for Obama, will now be placed in a position to directly favor union labor over non-union labor.

The President was politically groomed on illegal ¬†‘pay for play’ politics during his rise to power Chicago.¬† He simply¬†continues to play the only game he knows.¬†

It now¬†seems that the Democrat Party in New York has decided to¬†embrace the heavy-handed, and illegal, pay for play politics¬†that have made¬†the¬†City of Chicago famous for its’ corruption.¬†

One has to wonder how long the lame stream media will continue to ignore unethical behavior on the part of the Democrat Party.  At some point there has to be a correction.   They cannot continue to use pay to play politics with labors unions, and others, whose power will disappear once all the jobs are gone.

For today’s ethically bankrupt Democrats it seems that it is all about ‘The Deal’.
