The two candidates are  Keith Fimiam and Pat Herrity.

Keith S. Fimian is Chairman and Founder of U.S. Inspect, LLC, the nation’s largest provider of residential and commercial property inspection services. Headquartered in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC, U.S. Inspect is the dominant inspection services company in the United States, producing more than 150,000 inspection reports annually.  The Company employs field and office personnel across the country and manages a network of thousands of independent contractors.

Prior to founding the Company, Keith worked for seven years with the international accounting firm KPMG.  A certified public accountant, Keith received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he earned a full four year athletic scholarship and captained the football team.

Keith is President of the Washington DC-based Youth Leadership Foundation, a supplemental academic and character formation program serving disadvantaged youth in our nation’s capital.
The second oldest of seven, Keith and his three brothers and three sisters grew up in a military (United States Navy) family, moving often before settling in Virginia Beach when he was nine years old.  Keith and his high school sweetheart and wife of 28 years, Cathy, are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters and reside in Northern Virginia.

Pat Herrity

After over 25 years of active business, sports and civic community leadership and experience, Pat Herrity was elected Springfield District Supervisor in November 2007. He was raised in Fairfax County, is a 1978 graduate of West Springfield High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech in 1982. Pat lives in Little Rocky Run with his wife, Nancy, their son, Sean, and their daughter, Valeria. Pat and his family are members of St Andrew’s Catholic Church.

His mom, sister, two of his brothers and many other relatives still reside in Northern Virginia. Being lifelong residents of Northern Virginia, the issues that face us are of critical importance to Pat and his entire family.

As the son of the former Fairfax Board of County Supervisors Chairman Jack Herrity, Pat grew up attending community meetings and county budget hearings.  Pat was raised with the issues of Fairfax County and Northern Virginia regularly discussed at home and he did not have to look far for a mentor on how to lead and give back to the community.  Until Jack’s death in 2006, Pat and his dad would discuss county issues several times a day.

Having spent his entire life here, Pat has a unique understanding of Northern Virginia and its needs. First as a business and community leader and now as a Supervisor, Pat has actively led efforts to implement transportation solutions. As a result of his efforts, he received the President’s Award and the Community Service Award from NVTC and the Chairman’s Award from the Fairfax County Chamber.

In 2009, he ran for Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.  Entering the race for Chairman as a 10 point underdog, his campaign created a new energy and grassroots participation that set the stage for victories in Fairfax County throughout 2009. Although he lost the Chairman’s race by 1% of the vote, he won the 11th congressional district part of Fairfax County 55% to 45% even though it included his opponent’s home turf where she was a 20 year incumbent.

Pat is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Fulcra Worldwide, a small disabled veteran owned technology company. He has a reputation as a “go-to” Chief Financial Officer who possesses the leadership, management, and financial skills to get the job done. Pat has used his award winning financial skills to promote an agenda of fiscal responsibility and transparency on the Board of Supervisors.
