While Ms Crowley is offering a plug for an upcoming interview, with Dr Metzler, she does offer two recorded voice mails that Dr. Metzler received as a result of his stance against ObamaCare.
In an blockbuster interview airing this weekend on my nationally syndicated radio show, a prominent black conservative blew the lid off the racism of the Left. Dr. Christopher Metzler, Associate Dean of Continuing Studies at Georgetown University, told me of the racist attacks he endured after going public with his opposition to the Democrats’ health care bill and President Barack Obama’s overall agenda.
After an appearance a few weeks ago on “The O’Reilly Factor” on the Fox News Channel, Metzler began to receive despicable, racist voicemail messages. One caller swears at him profanely and tells him to get his “black ass back to Africa.” Hear it here:
Mr Parks notes his disgust with the lame stream media and offers evidence of the media’s protection of leftist racism throughout the years.
We know what the headlines would read if something were said to annoy Al Sharpton. But it took racist phone calls to a dean to invoke outrage.
I know many other black conservatives have endured the racial slurs from the left for decades, and the media has never had our backs.
Where is the outrage for the insults Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas deals with to this day? When syndicated columnist Julianne Malveaux said that she hoped Justice Thomas’ wife serves him “lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease. Well, that’s how I feel.“, where was the media then?
Both articles are a good read and deserve recognition based upon the truths they reveal.
In truth, racists come in every color, from every religion, race, creed and party affiliation. My consistent point over the last two decades has been ‘we must stop dwelling on our differences and concentrate on what we have in common’.
Please do not get me wrong, people should be free to celebrate their heritage, but allowances made that place one group above the other lead us to dwell on our differences and seek solace associations with groups that we feel we cannot offend.
We do this out of fear. A fear generated by a leftist political creativeness that leaves us open to attack should we disagree with them and utter anything that they can twist into a racial statement. A simple statement, ‘I like vanilla ice cream’, becomes he/she hates anything that isn’t white.
The left uses racism to shut down debate. They attack anyone, of any race, simply as a means to prevent the message from getting through. They cannot defend their own policies, they are incapable of ‘honest’ debate, and integrity is something totally alien to them. Since many of their policies cannot pass even the slightest scrutiny without exposing a total lack of substance or logic, they simply call anyone in disagreement a ‘racist’.
PC is the big ugly tool of leftist socialism. The left use political creativeness as means to control public thought and hide their own racism. When liberals find a message they do not like, they simply look for anything, no matter how remote, to declare the message not politically correct and therefore racist.
The left’s constant declarations of racism against any message they disagree with is meant to invoke ‘fear’ in others. They want you to be afraid to speak. They are dependent upon ‘your fear’ to stop you from talking. To keep you from getting your message out. This is not a new game, they have been doing this for as long as I can remember.
Now, I am going to date myself a bit. I was in my early single digits when Dr. Martin Luther King began his journey. Though I was never privileged to hear one of his speeches, I did get to hear an occasional soundbite when I watched the evening news with my grandparents.
The evening news taught me to be afraid of Dr. King. His radical beliefs, and the Republicans that supported him and the Civil Rights Movement, were out to destroy America. Anyone that supported Dr. King was immediately attacked in the news and often physically attacked in public. Surprisingly, when the Civil Rights Bill passed, America became a better place to live.
Several years later, in junior high school, I was fortunate enough to have a social studies teacher that was fair and balanced. Thanks to Mr. Spotts I learned to respect Dr. King for what he was, not a radical, but a peaceful man looking for fairness and justice in a country that was denying it to him.
Dr. King did not ask for more than his fair share, he simply asked to be recognized as a living and breathing human being deserving of the love and respect we should have for every one of God’s children.
Are many on the left racists? Of course they are. They continue to practice the same Jim Crow laws of the pre-civil rights era that have kept people separated, only now they offer the perception that it is something good. When in fact it is just as, if not more, destructive than the racist practices of the past.
The left today that uses hate and racism to color over the issues and make people afraid. People of integrity must attack PC. PC must die in order for us to communicate. I would rather hear what a person really feels, than some PC lie they have been trained is the proper means of communication. PC simply stops us from communicating out of fear. It builds walls between us. Which is exactly what the left wants it to do.
Therefore, never let the ‘fear’ generated by the left’s PC racism stop you from communicating. Stop dwelling on perceived difference and concentrate on what makes us all the same. We all want and need the same things in life, culture is simply a different means of achieving them.
Most importantly, ‘never be afraid to speak the truth’.
